BP, Rosneft May Sign Final Deal on Russian Gas Supplies This Year
WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — BP won more than $75 million to provide jet fuel for the Central European Pipeline System to an undisclosed location in Turkey, the Department of Defense said in a press release.

"BP Products North America, Chicago, Illinois has been awarded a $75,401,162 [contract]… for jet fuel," the release stated on Friday. "Locations of performance are Illinois, Turkey and a defense fuel support point serving the Central European Pipeline System."

The contract is to operate for a year with a scheduled completion date of June 30, 2018, the Defense Department added.

The US Air Force still operates Incarlik Air Force Base in Turkey and maintains around 50 nuclear weapons there, according to published reports. However, tensions with Ankara over US use of the base have grown since the failed coup plot to topple President Recep Tayyip Erdogan a year ago.
