WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — On Monday, four Republican Senators opposed their party's legislation titled the Better Care Reconciliation Act. The senators' move prompted McConnell to pull the bill from any further consideration. He said instead the Senate would just vote on a full repeal of Obamacare.
"For the information of all senators, at the request of the President [Trump] and Vice President [Pence] and after consulting with our members, we will have the vote on the motion to proceed to the Obamacare repeal bill early next week," McConnell said on Tuesday as quoted by The Hill.
The Trump administration believes that Democrats are fully responsibility for the delay on the healthcare reform, according to the White House spokeswoman Sarah Sanders. However, the president is open to work with them to figure out the solution on this matter, Sanders noted.
