WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — The schedule lists Trump and Manafort as witnesses in the hearing which is supposed to begin at 10:00 a.m. local time (2:00 p.m. GMT) in Room 226 of the Dirksen Senate Office Building.
"Oversight of the Foreign Agents Registration Act and Attempts to Influence U.S. Elections [hearing]… will now be held on Wednesday, July 26, 2017," the schedule noted.
Earlier this month, US media reported that Trump, Jr. met in June 2016 with Russian lawyer Natalia Veselnitskaya, expecting that she would present a sensitive information about Hillary Clinton, but quickly understood she did not have any relevant information, and the parties moved to the problem of the adoption of Russian children by US nationals, which was the main theme of the conversation.
Manafort was also present at the meeting, CNN reported on Sunday.
