ZHUKOVSKIY (Sputnik) — Aviation Industries Organization of Iran (IAIO) has concluded a number of contracts with Russian companies on the purchase of a range of spare parts for Mi-17 and Mi-8 helicopters during the International Aviation and Space Salon MAKS-2017, IAIO marketing and export development director Jagath Zedvar told Sputnik on Thursday.
"We had already signed some agreements with Russian companies earlier. During this exhibition, we managed to conclude several other contracts for the supply of spare parts for civil helicopters… We need spare parts for the maintenance of Mi-8, Mi-17 helicopters," Zedvar said.
At the same time, Zedvar did not disclose any information related either to the companies it signed the deals with or the contracts’ amount, stressing that it was classified information.
The 13th International Aviation and Space Salon MAKS-2017 kicked off on Tuesday and will last through Sunday.
