MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Unlawful protests were detected at 45 locations in Senate offices, the law enforcement said. Those detained were charged with crowding, obstructing, incommoding, or resisting arrest.
"As of 5:45 p.m., approximately 155 arrests were made and the arrestees are currently being processed," the police statement read.
Between 200 and 300 demonstrators reportedly targeted Republican offices after senior GOP members, including Vice President Mike Pence, were announced to be coming to Capitol Hill tonight to work with senators who are reluctant to vote for the party’s revised healthcare bill.
