KIEV (Sputnik) – The Ukrainian Security Service announced on Wednesday the explusion of Russian journalist Maria Knyazeva, working for the Rossiya 1 and Rossiya 24 television channels.
"The Ukrainian Security Service has blocked the destructive activities of journalist Maria Knyazeva, who worked for Rossiya 1 and Rossiya 24 televisiion channels under the alias of Savushkina … Knyazeva was forcibly returned to the Russian territory with a ban on entering Ukraine for three years," the service said in a statement.
Russia’s relations with Ukraine and the West deteriorated sharply after Crimea rejoined Russia in 2014 and the West accused Moscow of meddling in the conflict in eastern Ukraine, imposing several rounds of sanctions on Russia.
