"I think this is a great event, and I would like to wish the best of luck to the Israeli team and express confidence that our skillful military cooks will do their best… Everything [in the organization of the games] is done at the highest level, and our team is very happy," Koren said.
Field Kitchen is a contest within 2017 International Army Games, where military cooks compete at preparing meals from a certain set of ingredients. Beside that, the competitors also have to demonstrate their firing skills and hold a master class on their national cuisine. This year, teams from Russia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Serbia, Israel and Mongolia participate in the Field Kitchen contest, which takes place at the Alabino range in Moscow Region.
The International Army Games have been held annually since 2015 on the initiative of the Russian defense minister. This year, 28 special contests are held within the Games at miscellaneous locations in Azerbaijan, Belarus, China, Kazakhstan and Russia on July 29 — August 12.
