MOSCOW (Sputnik) — On Sunday, Anambra police said that at least eight people were killed and 18 more were injured in the shooting. The death toll subsequently grew to 11.
According to the YNaija newspaper, the Anambra State Police stated that it had detained a number of suspects in Sunday's tragedy, however, they had not released the details about the specific number of the detainees.
The news outlet added that Nkeiruka Nwode, a spokeswoman of the police, ruled out the terrorist nature of the deadly attack.
