Will attacks in Charlottesville spur America to grapple with its racist past and remove Confederate Statues from its cities?

On this episode of "By Any Means Necessary" host Eugene Puryear is joined by Chuck Modiano, journalist, New York Daily News and from Baltimore by Joshua Harris, Founder of Hollins Creative Placemaking and 2016 Green Party Candidate for Mayor of Baltimore, to talk about the violent acts of racism over the weekend in Charlottesville and the role police played in allowing the events to take place. The group also discusses America's inability to talk about its racist founding fathers, the need to remove Confederate statues from public spaces, and what responsibility do US celebrities and athletes have to get involved in social justice movements?

The group also talks about the legacy of the Ferguson uprisings in waking up the world to racial injustice, the current efforts in Baltimore to raise awareness to police brutality, and the systematic changes that need to take place to allow for mass movements to continue to grow.
