MADRID (Sputnik) – Spain raised its terror threat level to three in 2014 and then to four in 2015 out of a maximum of five after a series of attacks in Europe and Tunisia.
The Spanish Interior Ministry said its head, Juan Ignacio Zoido, was to chair the meeting at 10:00 a.m. local time (08:00 GMT). State Secretary for Security Jose Antonio Nieto will also take part in the session.
On Thursday and early Friday, Barcelona and Cambrils faced two van ramming attacks, which have killed 14 people and left over 130 more injured. Four suspects have been arrested. Daesh has claimed responsibility for the Barcelona attack.
