ST.PETERSBURG (Sputnik) — Qatar has offered Russia to participate in projects on production of liquefied natural gas (LNG) and the issue of cooperation is currently being reviewed, Elena Burmistrova, the director general of Russian energy exporter Gazprom Export, said Friday.

“The Qataris have paid a visit and made such kind of offers. They are now being reviewed at various levels, Russian Direct Investment Fund [RDIF] also considers this issue, but nothing has been decided yet,” Burmistrova told reporters on the sidelines of the 7th St. Petersburg International Gas Forum (SPIGF-2017).
