The agency cited its local sources as saying that the toxic materials are kept in numerous depots in a number of villages and towns, specifically in Ghazleh and Ma’arat Misrin, nine kilometers north from the city of Idlib.
The sources alleged that some of the toxic substances have been made locally, while other chemical weapons were manufactured abroad, specifically in the US.
The agency warns that al-Nusra terrorists might try to use the chemical weapons against civilians in an attempt to further accuse the Syrian Arab Army.
On October 19, the US admitted that al-Nusra Front terrorists, who control Syria's Idlib Governorate through the umbrella terrorist group Hayat Tahrir al-Sham and is still thought to be an affiliate of al-Qaeda, "not only have, but use chemical weapons against civilians."
On April 4, the Syrian opposition claimed that 80 people had been killed in a chemical weapons attack in Idlib province, and 200 more were wounded.
They used it as pretext to accuse the Syrian government troops of this attack, which however rejected all the accusations and blamed the militants instead.
