The Russian Defense Ministry has announced that six Tu-22M3 strategic bombers had launched a massive strike on Daesh's arms and ammunition depots, command posts and fortified areas that were confirmed to be destroyed by means of reconnaissance.
The November 2 strike "carried out in order to support thr Syrian government forces to crush Daesh terrorists," came just a day after the Russian long-range bombers that flew over the territory of Iran and Iraq carried out a strike destroying Daesh targets in the town of Abu Kemal.

Most lately, a Russian submarine launched a strike with the Kalibr cruise missiles from the Mediterranean on the Daesh targets in Abu Kemal to help the Syrian army's offensive on the ground.

While Russia's data says that over 90 percent of Syria has been liberated from Daesh, Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu has stated that the Russian military campaign launched at the request of President Bashar Assad in 2015 will be completed soon.
