In a special third segment Richard Phillips, Senior Policy Analyst at The Institute on Taxation and Economic Policy to talk about the latest efforts for the Republican Party to pass tax reform, the efforts by the GOP to stop the CBO from scoring their tax plan, the lack of empirical evidence showing the efficacy of 'trickle-down' economics, and the influence of lobbyist and large corporations on the process to push the new tax bill.
In the last segments of "By Any Means Necessary" Eugene Puryear and Sean Blackmon are joined by Ra Shad Frazier-Gaines, Founder, Black Progressives to talk about Donald Trump's white nationalist re-tweets, the open dog whistling taking place towards Muslims and blacks by politicians, the difference between black Republicans and Uncle Tom's and whether or not the Democratic Party will embrace a new path forward. The group also talks about Doug Jones' chances at winning Alabama's Senate seat on December 12th, the changing nature of campaign financing, the financial payout by the city of St. Anthony, Minnesota to the family of Philando Castile after he was murdered by they city's police, and the group revisits their challenge to name the most famous white person among only black people.
