The group was responsible for carrying out attacks on American forces in two different locations: the Al-Omar oil field in the Deir el-Zour province, and in al-Shaddadi, located further north.According to reports from the American media, the attack occurred just a few hours after the organization had claimed responsibility for the attempted strikes on the Al-Tanf military outpost. The Iraqi-based Shafaq News agency earlier reported that US air defenses had managed to intercept the drones. Two military bases, the Al-Asad Airbase (formerly known as Qadisiyah) in the al-Anbar Governorate of western Iraq, and the Al-Harir Airbase (formerly known as Bashur) in the Iraqi Kurdistan region, were targeted in UAV attacks last week. Al-Tanf, located on the Iraqi-Syrian and Jordanian-Syrian borders in Syria's Homs Governorate, is a military site operated by the US-led international coalition. Its primary objective is to spearhead anti-Islamic State* efforts in both countries.*Terrorist organization banned in Russia.
