MOSCOW (Sputnik) - Russian military jets struck a warehouse near a village in the northwestern Syrian province of Idlib that housed drones belonging to armed anti-government militants, a senior Russian officer said Sunday.
"The Russian aerospace forces have launched an airstrike at a warehouse ... storing unmanned aerial vehicles of militants involved in artillery attacks on Syrian government forces," Rear Adm. Vadim Kulit told a news briefing.
Rear Adm. Kulit, deputy head of the Russian center for Syrian reconciliation, said Russia was working hard to restore peace in Syria and provide comprehensive assistance to civilians.
