MOSCOW (Sputnik) - The Russian space forces successfully launched a Soyuz-2.1a rocket carrying a satellite from the Plesetsk Cosmodrome in the Arkhangelsk Region, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Thursday.
"On Thursday, December 25 ... a combat crew of the space forces successfully launched a Soyuz-2.1a medium-class carrier rocket with a satellite on board from the Plesetsk Cosmodrome, a state test cosmodrome of the Russian Ministry of Defense, in the Arkhangelsk Region," the statement read.
