Kim Jong Un Hosts Lavrov in Pyongyang, Meeting Lasts Over 1 Hour - Moscow

PYONGYANG (Sputnik) - North Korean leader Kim Jong Un hosted Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov in Pyongyang on Thursday, the Russian Foreign Ministry told reporters.

The meeting lasted more than 1 hour, the ministry added.
Sergey Lavrov and North Korean Foreign Minister Choe Son Hui confirmed their the determination to resist the hegemonic aspirations of the United States, leading to an aggravation of the situation in the Asia-Pacific region, the Russian Foreign Ministry said on Thursday.
"The parties emphasized their determination to resist the hegemonic aspirations of the United States, leading to an aggravation of the situation in the Asia-Pacific region," the ministry said in a statement.
Lavrov arrived in North Korea on Wednesday for a two-day visit, which comes a month after Kim Jong Un traveled to the Far East and met with the Russian President Vladimir Putin at the Vostochny Cosmodrome in the Amur region.

Lavrov last traveled to North Korea in late May 2018, before which the minister visited Pyongyang in 2009 and 2004.
