"We are committed to the closest partnership with the Chinese side in the energy sector in all areas of cooperation. We are talking about further increasing the supply of Russian energy resources to the Chinese market, as well as attracting Chinese investments and advanced technological solutions to the fuel and energy complex of the Russian Federation," Novak said at the 20th meeting of the Russian-Chinese intergovernmental commission on energy cooperation in Beijing.
Trade turnover between Russia and China for 2023 has already exceeded 200 billion dollars, a third of these volumes came from energy resources, said Alexander Novak.
Russia will deliver more than 100 million tonnes of coal to China this year, which is a record level of supplies, Novak said.
"This year, we will ensure record coal supplies to China — more than 100 million tonnes," Novak told reporters.
Russia has supplied more oil and petroleum products to China in January-October of 2023 than in the whole of last year, he added.
"We have already delivered more volumes in the 10 months of this year than last year for oil and petroleum products to China, and electricity supplies are being carried out," Novak said at a meeting with Vice Premier of the State Council of China Ding Xuexiang in Beijing.
Russia and China have agreed to cooperate on advanced technologies, including hydrogen production technologies, these are the main vectors, minister said.
"We [with China] are implementing projects in the field of nuclear energy, we are building four units in China, and renewable energy sources are a separate area. We agreed today that we will cooperate on advanced technologies, including in hydrogen production technologies, these are the main vectors," Novak said after a meeting with Vice Premier of the State Council of China Ding Xuexiang in Beijing.
