"Of course, it will all be hammered out," Zakharova said, when asked if there would be any retaliatory measures in this regard.
The sanctions extend beyond mere "listings" such as inclusion on stop lists, revocation of accreditation, broadcasting bans, or designations as foreign agents, the diplomat stated.
"This is already some kind of completely hybrid scheme, half of which is still unknown even to US users, organizations, and structures themselves," Zakharova added.
On Wednesday, the United States imposed sanctions against the Rossiya Segodnya media group, RIA Novosti, RT, Sputnik, and Ruptly. The new measures also affected the editor-in-chief of the Rossiya Segodnya and RT media group, Margarita Simonyan.
