Terrorist Attack in Istanbul 

On January 12, an explosion occurred in Istanbul’s historical center in the city’s central square. Turkish government reported of at least 10 deaths and 17 injured as the result of the attack, most of them Germans, a Peruvian and a Norwegian.

The Turkish special forces detained over 70 people, including 16 in Ankara during the operation against IS, commenced in a number of the country's regions after the Istanbul blast.
