"The next [humanitarian aid] convoy will leave from Noginsk rescue center to Rostov Region on February 24, where vehicles from other regions of Russia will join it," the spokesperson told RIA Novosti.
According to him, the bulk of the humanitarian cargo will be food, medicines, daily essentials and other items necessary for the survival of the population of Donbas.
The region is currently on the verge of a humanitarian catastrophe due to a military operation carried out by Kiev forces against independence supporters since April 2014 and requires foreign aid.
In total, since August 2014, Russia has provided over 20,000 tons of food and medical supplies, grain, water, clothes, power generators and construction materials to the suffering population of Ukraine's southeast.
