Yemeni special forces opposed to the country's fugitive President Abedrabbo Mansour Hadi have clashed with loyalist militia at the international airport in the southern Yemeni city of Aden; the violence has left at least five people dead and 13 more injured, sources said.
Speaking on condition of anonymity, an airport source said that "air traffic at Aden airport was suspended and flights cancelled."
The Thursday fighting came after Aden special forces commander Abdel Hafez al-Saqqaf ordered the deployment of units near the airport, something that was opposed by the Popular Resistance Committees, loyal to President Hadi.
