MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif on Tuesday submitted the text of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) on Tehran's nuclear program for the country’s parliament to review, Tasnim reported.

Tehran and the P5+1 group of international negotiators comprising Russia, China, the United States, the United Kingdom, France and Germany agreed on the text of the JCPOA in Vienna on July 14. The deal aims to ensure the peaceful nature of Iran's nuclear activities in exchange for the lifting of sanctions imposed against the country.

A month ago, Iran’s parliament approved a bill prescribing that the deal between Tehran and the P5+1 should comply with a number of requirements aimed at protecting Iran’s achievements in the nuclear sphere.

"As per the bill passed by the parliament, I will submit the JCPOA to the parliament," Zarif said at the parliament’s morning session.

Under the new nuclear deal, Tehran has agreed to keep the level of its uranium enrichment under 3.67 percent for a period of 15 years and keep its uranium stockpile under 300 kilograms.

A joint commission, comprising the representatives of the P5+1 group, Iran and the European Union, will be established to oversee the fulfillment of the deal.
