US Nuclear Weapons in Germany Could Spark Arms Race
On Tuesday, German media reported that the United States would deploy 20 next-generation nuclear weapons to the Buechel military air base in western Germany, according to information retrieved from a line item in the 2015 US budget.

The Russian Foreign Ministry warned that if the United States stationed B61-12 guided nuclear bombs in Germany it would violate the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons Treaty (NPT).

The NPT Treaty has been ratified by some 191 states, including Japan, Russia and the United States, and entered into force in 1970.
