Omar Falcon Torres is accused of using the pseudonym "MedeaBot" for two years to stalk and intimidate people by sending “violent sexual imagery” and using “violent language.” The case is reportedly the first of its kind in the US territory and is being handled by the Island’s CyberCrime Investigation Unit of the Justice Department.

A warrant had been issued for the 27-year-old in September after eight out of his dozens of victims came forward to file complaints against him. He was arrested on Monday at a relative’s home in Comerio.

"This character basically is dedicated to harass countless people through the Internet in different ways: death threats, threatening to rape children, misappropriation of identity, stalking and defamation. A series of behaviors aimed at removing the quiet people often expose them on Twitter, which is a public platform,” an unnamed official told Puerto Rican news outlet El Nuevo Dia.

"These people enjoy the anonymity and participate in discussions on all sorts of opinions are discussed. There are cases where the character (Medea Bot) handler obtains personal data (account) to expose his real identity. Although a pseudonym is used there is a real human being and the real identity is protected, " the official continued.

Currently, the alleged cyber-harasser is being held on $180,000 bond until his preliminary hearing on December 21.

Law enforcement has not revealed whether his victims were known to him or if he went after strangers, and no motive has been released. Several public figures such as Johanna Rosaly have came forward as being victims of his “cyber-bullying.”

Officials told Yahoo News that they are barred from discussing the case with the media until evidence is presented at the hearing, where a judge will decide whether or not he will have to stand trial.
