DAMASCUS (Sputnik) — A group of Syrian journalists have come under terrorist rocket attack in the north of the city of Aleppo, with injured reporters hospitalized, a military source said Thursday.
"Several journalists, including a SANA agency reporter, have been wounded in the north of Aleppo. Terrorists have launched rockets against a journalists' car," the source told RIA Novosti.
Fighting between the Syrian army and the militants is underway in the north of Aleppo. Government forces continue to advance toward the Turkish border.
According to the Committee to Protect Journalists, Syria saw 14 journalist deaths last year, the highest figure among top 20 deadliest countries.
In late January, US Secretary of State John Kerry labeled Syria the least safe country for journalists in 2015.
