MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Russian President Vladimir Putin has canceled his planned October 19 visit to France, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Tuesday.
"The President has decided to cancel the visit. Unfortunately, some of the planned events related to the opening of the Russian cultural and spiritual center and one of the exhibitions have dropped out of the program," Peskov told reporters.
He noted that Putin would be ready to consider visiting France "when it would be comfortable for President [Francois] Hollande."
"Therefore, we will wait when this comfortable time comes, and the President will again consider the possibility of making this visit if the issue will be on the agenda," Peskov stressed.
