Also, the Israeli economy will soon be contracting.
Laith Marouf, broadcaster and journalist based in Beirut, Lebanon joins us to discuss the Middle East. Israeli officials argue that there will be no ceasefire anytime soon. Laith Marouf says that the United States is in charge of the war on the ground. He believes that the US media reports are nothing more than propaganda and public relations moves. He says that there were demonstrations in Kuwait against the United States which has been a long time US ally.
Dr. Yolandra Hancock, Board Certified Pediatrician and Obesity Medicine Specialist joins us to discuss health issues in America. An estimated 220K US children under 18 have been diagnosed with arthritis, a disease most commonly associated with older people. Dr. Hancock says that rates of arthritis are higher among children of color and obese children. Also, some of the additives in our food are directly linked to autoimmune disorders and failure to exercise is another major factor.
Rachel Blevins, Independent American journalist and RT Correspondent joins us to discuss censorship. The Patriot act has had a devastating effect on the Bill of Rights. Rachel Blevins argues that the US government obsession with censorship has gotten worse since 9/11. The 9/11 attack was used by the government to stop people from criticizing the government. Also, both traditional and social media are used to keep the citizens in check.
Misty Winston, Political Commentator and Podcast Host joins us to discuss domestic politics. GOP hopefuls are crowding into the field of prospective House leaders. Misty Winston says that the GOP is more dysfunctional than she had considered. Also, this struggle may affect the 2024 election cycle. She says that this is a result of foreign policy because the issue of money and warmongering is at the root of the GOP internal fight.
K. J. Noh, Peace Activist, Writer, Teacher joins us to discuss China. China's special envoy will visit the UAE and Saudi Arabia to discuss the Israel Palestine conflict. KJ says that China is trying to de-escalate and the US is fighting it. This is a mask off moment for the Global South wherein the US is ignoring international law.
Mark Sleboda, Moscow based international relations security analyst joins us to discuss Russia. A pro-neutrality party has won big in Switzerland. Mark Sleboda says that foreign policy issues are impacting domestic politics and this is affecting the outcomes of elections. Also, the US has virtually taken over the Ukrainian intelligence operations and operations undertaken by that entity must be traced back to the West.
Kim Ives, journalist and editor at Haiti Liberte joins us to discuss Haiti. The US is fighting to stop a revolution in Haiti. Kim says that the G9 revolutionary forces are headed by a former policeman and the West sees this group and its leader as extremely dangerous. Also, the Haitians are determined and will be much harder to subjugate.
