Margarita Simonyan, editor-in-chief of RT and Rossiya Segodnya, Sputnik's parent media group, published on Friday the text of an apparent conversation among Germany's top Bundeswehr brass discussing what is allegedly a planned attack on the Crimean Bridge with Taurus missiles.
The transcript in question claims that four senior Bundeswehr officials, including the head of the Air Force operations and exercises department, participated in the discussion held on February 19, 2024.
In particular, Brigadier General Frank Grafe, department head for operations and exercises at the Air Force Command in Berlin, Inspector of the Air Force Ingo Gerhartz and two employees of the air operations center of the Bundeswehr Space Command supposedly discussed sending Taurus missiles to Ukraine and a planned attack on the Crimean bridge.
According to this revelation, an employee of Germany’s space command had also discussed embarking on a trip to Ukraine on February 21 to help prepare attacks on Russian soil.
"I would also like to briefly focus on the issues of air defense. We must think carefully about having equipment in Kiev to receive information from the IABG and NDK. We have to provide this to them, so I have to fly there on February 21, we need to plan everything effectively, not like it was with Storm Shadow, when they planned control points," the transcript of the audio conversation of the four high-ranking German military officials said.
During the discourse, the senior German officials alleged that UK military experts were in Ukraine, aiding Kiev in planning attacks on Russia using Storm Shadow missiles.
"We need to imagine that they [Ukrainians] can use aircraft with mounts for Taurus missiles and Storm Shadow. The British were there and equipped the planes. The systems are not that different and can be used for the Taurus as well," the text of the audio conversation of four high-ranking representatives of the German armed forces said.
According to the conversation, the German military brass also discussed strikes on the Crimean Bridge using Taurus missiles launched from a Dassault Rafale fighter jet.
“There is an opinion that Taurus will succeed if it uses the French Dassault Rafale fighter,” said one of the officials in question.

German Brass Admits Taurus Won't Change Course of Ukraine Conflict

According to the transcript of the audio recording published by Margarita Simonyan, these senior German military officials admitted that the potential supply of Taurus missiles to Ukraine will not change the situation in the special military operation zone.
“That’s right, it will not change the course of military operations. Therefore, we do not want to transfer them all. And not everything at the same time,” one official said.

That said, these high-ranking German military officials have indicated that they are likely to transfer their coordinates of Russian targets with an accuracy of up to three meters.
"The question will arise where the information comes from. If we are talking about information about targets, which ideally includes satellite images that provide maximum accuracy of up to three meters, then we must first process them in Buchel. I think that regardless of this, it is possible to somehow organize an exchange of information between Buchel and Schrobenhausen, or we can work out the possibility of transferring [this] information to Poland, [and] do it in a place where you can get by car," revealed the text of the audio conversation of the four German armed forces officials.
The transcript was published by Simonyan on Vkontakte social network.

Hybrid War Against Russia In Progress

The hybrid war unleashed by the West against Russia is currently in full swing said Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova commenting on the audio recording that surfaced, revealing the said conversation among high-ranking Bundeswehr members about a potential attack on the Crimean Bridge using Taurus missiles.
"The hybrid war against the Russian people, unleashed by the West, is in full swing," Zakharova wrote on Telegram.
She further pointed out that the German leadership had resorted to citing the experiences of Hitler's Third Reich.
"What have I just read! Today's German leadership refers to the experience of the Third Reich! Yes, they are really that crazy!" Zakharova stated, while placing the spotlight on the recording of Air Force Inspector Ingo Gerhartz saying, "We are currently fighting a war that uses much more modern technology than our good old Luftwaffe."

German Defense Ministry Stays Mum

The German Defense Ministry has remained tight-lipped on the recording of its senior officials said to have been mulling such potential strikes on the Crimean Bridge, a ministry spokesperson told Sputnik on Friday.

"Please note that we in principle do not comment on media reports and their content," the spokesperson clarified.
