Ten Bodies, Flight Recorders Found at Plane Crash Site in Russia’s Tver Region

MOSCOW (Sputnik) - According to the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, a private Embraer Legacy airplane flying from Moscow to St. Petersburg crashed in Russia’s Tver Region on Wednesday. The preliminary information showed that all ten people on board were killed.

Ten bodies have been found at the site of fatal plane crash, the Investigative Committee said on Friday. The officials added that molecular genetic examinations are being carried out to identify the victims. In addition, flight recorders have been found.
Documents and items that are important for establishing the circumstances of the crash have been obtained, the committee reported.
"The investigation will carefully evaluate all possible versions of what happened," the statement read.

On Wednesday, the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations said that an Embraer Legacy private plane en route from Moscow to St. Petersburg crashed in Russia's Tver Region, killing all 10 people on board, including three crew members.
Wagner private military company (PMC) chief Yevgeny Prigozhin was among the passengers, according to the passenger list provided by the Federal Air Transport Agency Rosaviatsia. The crashed plane belonged to MNT-Aero LLC, specializing in business transportation.
A criminal case has been launched for violation of the traffic safety rules and operation of air transport.
On Thursday, Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed condolences to the families of the plane crash victims.
