Hollywood star George Clooney, who only recently headlined a star-studded Joe Biden campaign fundraiser, has jumped on the bandwagon of Democratic Party supporters urging the 81-year-old president to drop out of the 2024 race.
"I love Joe Biden as a senator, as a vice president and as president. I consider him a friend, and I believe in him," Clooney said. "In the last four years, he’s won many of the battles he’s faced. But the one battle he cannot win is the fight against time."
Biden is not the same person he was three weeks ago at his fundraiser and was not the same Joe Biden of 2010 or even 2020, Clooney added.
"It’s devastating to say it, but the Joe Biden I was with three weeks ago at the fundraiser was not the Joe ‘big F-ing deal’ Biden of 2010. He wasn’t even the Joe Biden of 2020. He was the same man we all witnessed at the debate," he said.
The opinion piece added that top Democrats, including Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi, along with senators and representatives, should request Biden to voluntarily step aside.
George Clooney has long been an avid supporter of the Democratic party machine, including through his charity - the Clooney Foundation for Justice (CFJ) - set up by the actor together with his human rights lawyer wife Amal. During the time of Donald Trump's presidency, Clooney and a posse of other Hollywood celebrities were vocal in targeting the Republican and US conservatives in general.
When the Ukraine conflict erupted, Clooney was among the Hollywood celebrities eager to join the "coordinated infowar operation" on the part of the West, portraying the neo-Nazi Kiev regime and its leader Volodymyr Zelensky as so-called "freedom fighters." Clooney Foundation's Docket Project has been gathering "evidence" of alleged "war crimes" by the Russian military in Ukraine since the beginning of the conflict. However, the NGO has blatantly overlooked Kiev's eight-year-long war against the civilian population of the Donbass and the many abuses of human rights and media freedom of speech by Ukrainian authorities.
Furthermore, the George and Amal Clooney Foundation for Justice’s Docket Project revealed plans to hunt down Russian journalists through secret arrest warrants. Anna Neistat, the Legal Director of the Docket Project, told the US state-controlled Voice of America (listed as a foreign agent in Russia) on May 30 that the organization was asking European countries to launch criminal proceedings against Russian journalists covering the Ukraine conflict. Clooney later denied that his NGO was going after journalists.
The foundation set up by Clooney and his wife is, in fact, a political slush-fund for globalist causes, Charles Ortel, Wall Street investigator, previously revealed to Sputnik. "Like the Clinton Foundation, this entity is a 'public charity'," the charity fraud expert said, adding:
"As such, it may not be controlled by one family and its board must be broadly representative of the public at large."
