Renowned American media personality and TV host Tucker Carlson made headlines after he was unexpectedly spotted in Moscow during the first weekend of February. His visit to the Russian capital quickly sparked assumptions that he was going to interview Putin.
These speculations were eventually confirmed as true by both the conservative commentator and the Kremlin itself.
The long-time TV news anchor said that he organized the interview with Putin because he felt it was his journalistic duty to inform Americans about the realities of the conflict in Ukraine and its consequences. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov confirmed Wednesday that Carlson did indeed interview Putin on February 6.
The interview will be available for viewing starting on February 8 at 6:00 p.m. EST (23:00 GMT).
